The introduction of mobile phones into Afghanistan six years  ago has had  a dramatic impact in the country.  It is estimated that currently over four million Afghans own mobile phones.  Not only has  it  boosted business, creating work for tens of thousands of people, but  it  has also ensured that many families, who are divided by great distances, can stay in contact.
